MAWS is a lunchtime women’s choir in Shipley that sings unaccompanied songs in three-part harmony, taught by ear. It meets on Mondays from 1pm to 2pm at Baildon Link, with weekly sessions costing £5 in cash. There are no auditions and no need to read music, and the singers range from their 30s to their 80s.

Bradford Voices Community Choir is a friendly mixed choir in Shipley that sings for enjoyment, unaccompanied and in harmony. It meets on Monday evenings in term time from 7pm to 9pm, and the first session is free. There are no auditions, and it especially welcomes men and younger singers, with songs taught by ear rather than from written music.
